Established SmartCards (bank cards, credit cards, customer loyalty cards, admission cards, etc.) are usually made out of laminated PVC film. However, customers are increasingly demanding alternative “green” materials based on renewable raw materials. Still these cards (and consequently the films) have to meet the stringent quality requirements of the industry.
We decided to face this formidable challenge and developed ISF Greenline, a film based on a biopolymer. The standard version of this film is white (for the printed core layer) and transparent (for the overlays) and comes in the card industry’s standard thicknesses between 100 – 300μm. Surface structures and tolerances are also perfectly matched to the standards of the card industry.
Sheet sizes are individually based on our customers’ requirements.
