Austrian Isosport acquires Slovenian plastics specialist Tomplast

Further expansion after successful acquisition of Polish Novo Tech in June 2022

Eisenstadt, 22.07.2022 – Isosport specializes in individualized and innovative plastics solutions. The company is headquartered in Eisenstadt, Austria, and is the world market leader in the field of plastic composite materials for the ski and snowboard industry and a quality supplier of products for use in a wide range of industries, from environmental technology to construction and the automotive industry. With its subsidiary Isokon, which specializes in the production of extruded and pressed thermoplastic materials, Isosport has also been active in Slovenia for 27 years and employs around 300 people there.

The Isosport Group is now further expanding in this market: With effect from 21 July 2022, Isosport has acquired the Slovenian company Tomplast with two locations and around 300 employees. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

For more than 35 years, Tomplast has specialized in the production of thermoplastic injection technology components. Its products are applied in many different industries including the caravan, automotive, power tools and industrial equipment industries.

The Isosport Group had only recently attracted attention with the acquisition of the Polish plastics company Novo Tech at the end of June. Tomplast is an absolute specialist in the field of plastic injection molding and is therefore a perfect addition to the Isosport family."

Tomplast specializes in the production of thermoplastic components and has a 35-year tradition in plastic injection molding. Its products are used in the caravan, automotive, leisure accessories and power tools industry as well as for industrial equipment. Tomplast is an absolute specialist in its niche market. The company operates two production sites in Mirna and Semič, Slovenia, and employs a total of around 300 people. In 2021 Tomplast’s revenues reached EUR 53 million.
